The design of and consultancy about foundations, building pits and soil structures is the main component of our services. Geobest\u2019 focal point is the link between theory and practice. The ultimate goal is a buildable and economic design taking into account the risks and opportunities associated with working in the ground.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Geobest employees work independently on geotechnical engineering projects but may also participate in multidisciplinary teams to represent the geotechnical field.\u00a0These activities are being performed in the tender phase as well as the construction phase for major infrastructural projects and urban building developments. Environment, available work space and soil conditions have a major impact on possible construction methods and techniques to be used. As a result of our involvement in several projects during the construction phase we have an optimal link with day to day practice. Thus enabling us to get into the details of engineering without losing main focal points. If desired an estimate for geotechnical construction costs can be provided. For our engineering activities we use several Dutch and international software packages, such as Plaxis 2D and 3D (Finite Element Methods), Delft Geosystems (sheet piles, embankment stability, piled and shallow foundations), GGU (slurry trench stability), GRLweap (drivability) and a series of in-house developed spreadsheets and apps. We employ our wide range of experience gained in the past years on numerous national and international projects and firmly believe that the exchange of know-how and cooperation are the keys to improvement and innovation.
